ZigZag House

I wanted to do a Japanese inspired house, with a unique rooftop view, and I came up with zigzag house.

Front room equipped with music and kitty playmat for you Sim's feline friend, den off to the side. Kitchen and dining room located at the center of the house. Door in dining room provides access to a outdoor dining space.

Door in back of kitchen leads to a relaxing garden, complete with fountains amd seating under a red maple.

Last section of the house includes small office space, and a bedroom and bathroom on either side.

Pink Castle

I am unable to claim full credit for the following design. I saw photos of a very similar house (exterior) online, and wondered what the inside of the house must look like. I could not find the name of the original designer or pics of the interior and became inspired to design a similar home so I could see for myself.

This pink brickwork castle has green tile roof, bridges, balconies, pool ares and walk up. The main house is three stories tall with a bridges connecting the first floor of the main house to the entryway and a bridge connecting the second floor to private recreational rooms.

The sitting room, is warm with throw rugs, magazines and music. Left bridge leads to a quiet office space, and the right bridge leads to a spacious bathroom. The central bridge leads to the french inspired dining room of the main house. If you're looking for a snack, the brightly colored kitchen beckons from the right. Or settle in front of the large screen television with a spot of tea after a long day at the beach.

The second floor of the house holds a spacious library with patchwork sitting room. The master and guest bedrooms are located on either end with their own bathroom and closet spaces. A bridge from the library leads to the recreational rooms. Central room is set up as an art studio for any age. To the left play for hours in the home arcade. To the right is your Sims personal gym. All three rooms offer a balcony overlooking the yard.

Third floor offers his and hers bedrooms for the children, each with their own private bathroom and closet space. A common room is set up for their studies and entertainment. The third floor has wraparound deck so they can get some fresh air and a beautiful view.

The Club House

Welcome to The Club House! For the single Sim who loves the night life!

Invite your friends over for dinner and a movie, in this large modern mansion.

The Club House just wouldn't be complete without it very own dance floor, bar, and retro dining set. Sit with your friends or dance to the music, the party never has to end!

If you meet that someone special, bedroom offers private access to a hot tub.

Club and Bar Room is accessible through central hallway and backdoor entrance. Thr area has its own bathroom, so your guests don't need to wander through your house.

Brandi's Beach House

Welcome to Brandi's Beach House!
White pine floors and aquatic wallpaper are reminiscent of pristine beaches. Brightly coloured furniture bring a touch of reef life to mind, in this two bedroom premium.
Brandi's Beach House has a back yard that's lightly forested, for the camper, but still offers a decent view!
The garden is tucked discreetly behind the house, near the main patio. Both bedrooms have closet space, master bedroom has private bathroom accessible through closet.
Special features include a music room for the Entertainer, where your preteens and teenagers can get ready to be the next big thing.
Also this house offers 3 patio spaces!
2 out of three are privately accessible from the bedrooms, extensions of private living space. Curl up with a favorite magazine or listen to your stereo.
The 3rd patio is just off the living room, set up for a friendly barbecue with friends!

Mina Hill's House

Welcome to Mina Hill's house, my newest Standard Plot. It's bright and cheerful in earthy tones.

Entrance hall has extra storage for all Mina's cooking and baking needs, as well as a singing fish to keep her spirits high. Guest bathroom is accessible from this point, with adjoining guest bedroom.

The cozy kitchen is perfect for the chef who doesn't like to share counterspace, with a large dining room where Mina can share her culinary masterpieces with her friends. The parlor is located just off the dining room; kick back and digest.

The guest bedroom and master bedroom are located just off the parlor. Darker blues and warm browns, encourage a good night's sleep. Invite a friend to stay the night or retreat to your private space and learn a new hobby.

Haunted House w/Modifications

I invested in the Haunted House; previously it costs Life Points to buy, but now Simoleons will do the job. Haunted House is available for both Premium and Standard plots; Premium comes with  pool. I put my on a standard plot because I wanted the premium plots for my own designs. This is the original layout (more or less):

I felt it was lacking some things that a good haunted house needed, so I expanded.

A private elevator (haunted) will take your most monstrous sim to his or her very own dungeon!  Chains on the wall keep your victim from running, plenty table and counter space offer room for 'experimentation' and an underground furnace allows for destruction of evidence.

Don't have a hostage yet? No problem. Invite the villagers over for a tour of the haunted house and a party to die for.  The second floor is spacious, modern, equipped to entertain guests.

Pick your victim; take them out to the balcony and seduce them by the light of lost souls.

The party might end but the horror doesn't have to!

Finished First Basement

I bought Sims Freeplay Premade One Bedroom House and expanded it to a three bedroom house. I simply added a stairwell to the back of the house, which leads to my first finished basement.

Down below, is a common room with pingpong table, bookshelf, tv and music.

His and her bedrooms with walk in closets and a joint bathroom.

Completed Basement Kings Quest

But I don't have a basement to share yet. Turns out building underground is pretty expensive.

If you complete the quest within the time limit, you do get the DIY House for free, it appears to only be available for premium plots though.

First Balcony

I've just completed the balcony quest and my first balcony! You do need a two-story home in your Sim town to complete this quest. Upon completion you get an assortment of decorations: new planters for both your gardens and the inside of your houses, and privacy screens for both inside and out. And of course you get customizable balconies! It's also supposed to come with outdoor stairs, but I haven't figured out how to use those just yet... or even find them.

This, my first balcony, was added to my 2 Story Standard Design!

Dance Villa

My first Premium Plot has arrived! The exterior is smooth stone walls with purple scaled roof. Interior is inspired by Latin Villa, altered to fit my personal aesthetics.

Enter the house and go salsa dancing on your own private dance floor. Left of the foyer is the common area of this beautiful family home; modern countertops, a dining area accented with floral screens, and a large tv for movie night.

Go out to the garden through doors in the living room...or stay in. Through a hallway just off the dining room, find a bathroom and master bedroom. Master bedroom complete with private study, for the sim who wants some space from the kids.

The kids won't be bored in this house; upstairs they've got their own spacious dance floor to practice breaking dancing. A den offers workspace for homework and a make-out couch to curl up with a honey.

First door on the L-shaped hall is a bathroom with two his and her vanities, courtesy of Philips Sonicare. And of course the kids can retreat to their spacious bedrooms for privacy and enjoy their relaxing goldfish tanks.

And let's not forget that garden! Out through the back doors, enjoy a beautiful pool with a large deck; a patio set is located just under a tree for a picnic in the shade.

Tan on blankets by day or have a midnight swim by the glow of lanterns. Large backyard with a view!

Minimalist

The exterior is stone with green scales.

Enter into a spacious front room, kitchen/dining/living room in one. Stone interior with hardwood flooring.

Back half of the house is also stone interior; study hall is done in hardwood flooring with tiled bathroom to the left and cozy carpeted bedroom on the right.

Enjoy floral arrangements inside the house, or exit the backdoor to a private garden and enjoy a barbecue.

First Patio

I've just finished the Peaceful Patio Quest and installed my first patio. I added the patio to my Minimalist design.

When your working on the quest don't worry about the red-tile they default you to; upon completion you get to access an assortment of tiles, along with new patio furniture, fencing, gates, and of course the make-out couch.

DIY Home Quest!

I am super excited about the Dream home update!

I've just started the first quest peaceful patios which unlocks patios!

Some of the changes in the game are instantaneous like the new ability to build hallways, one square wide, and doors and windows can now be placed next to walls and each other. Multiple buildings on the same plot can now be different heights.

Others like patios, balconies, and basements need to be unlocked in quests!

These quests do appear to be timed with prizes - including unlocking a makeout couch - it's unclear at this point if the DIY house will be a prize or if we are merely visiting.

The photos you are seeing, are of the DIY house and not a house of my design but a preview of what's to come for those who haven't started or downloaded the new updates.

I repeat I do not claim credit for the house design above  - I would've done a much better basement - is a product of a designer at The Sims Freeplay.

That's not to say you couldn't use it as inspiration in the future...
